Truax Law Welcomes Attorney Peter O’Grady to Construction & Civil Litigation Practice
AVON, OHIO – Truax Law is pleased to announce that attorney Peter O’Grady has joined the firm, bringing more than a decade of legal experience and a client-first mindset to the firm’s growing construction law practice.
Peter represents contractors, suppliers and other construction professionals in a wide range of legal matters, including construction defect claims, contract disputes, real estate transactions, and litigation involving payment or performance issues. He also provides preventative counsel during real estate and construction deals, helping clients structure transactions to avoid costly disputes later on.

Prior to joining Truax Law, Peter served as an attorney at several respected regional law firms, focusing on construction litigation, employment law, and real estate matters in both state and federal courts across Ohio. Earlier in his career, he represented community associations and secured creditors, further broadening his perspective on property-related legal issues.
Peter is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served as a firefighter during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. That experience—along with his later work as a paramedic and fire contractor—continues to shape his disciplined, mission-driven approach to legal practice.
A four-time Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star (2022–2025), Peter is a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and holds a magna cum laude degree in Public Safety Management from Cleveland State University. He is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
